Hi

Could this be a Thecophora?

Switzerland, Kanton Schwyz, Altendorf (near lake Zurich), 430m, 16.07.2024, not longer as 10 mm

Kind regards, Brigitte

Hi Brigitte, Thecophora is correct and from what I see it could be a male Thecophora bimaculata. But it's only based on the description of the female's antenna and femora in:
Jens-Hermann Stuke (2006): Thecophora pusilla auct. - ein Artenkomplex (Díptera: Conopidae)

(Syrphidae is the wrong forum for the Conopidae)
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner

Hi Eric

Thanks a lot for the confirmation of Thecophora, the species and all the informations!
I'm sorry about the wrong forum. Thank you for the correction.

Kind regards, Brigitte
