On a sandy area near the Danube, Vienna - late June Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |

As far as I know, there are two species with darker veins like this: A. liturata and A. confusanea. I can't help you further, I'm afraid. You need a very close view of the setae on tibia 2 to determine the species. James |

That was very helpful, James - by narrowing it down to two species and with the description by Michelsen & Baez I think this is A. confusanea: Only one ad seta on t2, no pv setae on f3 and the t3 orange in the middle Final confirmation very much appreciated Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.
