Hello everyone,

is that Sicus ferrugineus? Found today in southwest Germany on a dry meadow.

Greetings Siggi

Hello Siegfried,

most likely ferrugineus. But from these photos the other Sicus species cannot be excluded.

I also found the first Sicus today.
Best regards,
Jürgen

Hi Jürgen,

Thank you for your tip. The fly was patient, but unfortunately it was sitting in such a way that I couldn't photograph the abdomen. I will then file the picture under Sicus sp.

Greetings Siggi
