Hi,

currently, a lot of these small black flies can be observed at the (outside) walls of our house. probably because there are a many woodlice in the cracks at the bottom of the walls.
They are pretty nervous, but this specimen stayed at the same spot long enough for me to take a picture. I think it could be Melanophora roralis. I am not sure, if it is male or female, but I think the wing tip pattern indicates, its a female. Is that correct?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), outside wall, 21.05.2024, app. 6 mm

Greetings, Uli

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
