my first Tachinidae of the year

hello,
I have found this tachinidae in my garden near brest (france) the 17 02 2008. size about 6/8mm.
in our french forum, st?phane said Macquartia sp but he is not sure.

yes. it is a male Macquartia sp.

I agree.

Difficult to pinpoint a species. The earliest species is viridana, but somehow it looks different.
I'll have to check

Please always include shots from different angles instantly, it makes Tachinid life so much easier !

It is a male M. dispar, next of kind to viridana
