Hello,

For this fly, comparing it to this individual, I think of Stomina ♂. Do you think this is the right genus? Can we go further in determination?

Hello, male Stomina is correct - and I think I can exclude some:

S. tachinoides (familiar to me)
S. iners (frons broader...)
S. caliendrata (parafacial hairy...)

remains: S. calvescens for my guess.

Based on Cerretti (2010): I tachinidi della fauna italiana

Thank you very much for your answer. I looked on the website of the National Museum of Natural History, it only mentions these 4 species also for France... Can we go with Stomina calvescens as a probable one?

Yes, I think we can go with it as a probable one. The INPN says présent dans France, Ceretti lists it for North and South Italy and it is called a "Mediterranean and South Palaearctic-Palaeotropical species" among others in: Lutovinovas et al (2018): An updated checklist of Croatian Tachinidae.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
