Photo taken at Untes (Orense) Spain at abt 300 mts. On feb. 10th 2008.
Sized about 11 mm., adult resting on a leaf of Arbutus unedo. Open woodland shrubs of Q.illex and A.unedo.-

Yes, Pollenia it is - the little patch of golden hairs on the side of the thorax is enough to confirm this.

I was thinking of Pollenia too, but hesitated indeed, because I couldn't see those hairs.. Frown
