Early May, Vienna. Fore tarsi are dark and the black abdominal stripe widens towards the end of T5 Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated. |

ok, in Tschorsnig's key it says 'fore tarsus yellow' - I read this as all the tarsi would be yellow, but apparently it should read: fore metatarsus? When I checked Steven Falk's Flickr Album, the specimen he shows an magnicornis also has the fore metatarus more orange then the other tarsal segments: https://www.flick...303603490/ Edited by Carnifex on 03-04-2024 10:22 Cheers, Lorin Font Color All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated. First of all, that is a male. Never compare femalex with males. Secondly, i disagree. Metatars 1 is dark, only metatars 2 is orange. Theo |
