An old photo taken in May in Zhejiang China. Tiny, around 3mm in body length. Could it be a Milichiidae or another memeber of Carnoidea? Or Ephydroidea, rather? Thanks!

With reduced setae of head and mesonotum it looks to me as Chloropidae.

Cool! Thank you! Polyodaspis looks promising. Only two species are recorded from China. They're P. ferruginea and P. chinensis both with their type localities in Fujian which is neighboring Zhejiang. So this chloropid could be one of them.
