Found at Ecolodge ItororĂ³ reserve, in/near Nova Friburgo municipality in state of Rio de Janeiro in southeastern Brazil on 27.XI.2019. Atomosiini of sorts.

I'm not entirely sure about this one, maybe Lycosimyia. L. carrerae is known from Rio de Janeiro, but the leg coloration does not match. I have not seen a photo of Lycosimyia so it is difficult to be certain

Thanks for taking a look Chris.

Eric identified this one as Lycosimyia. Not sure how much antennal structure variation there might be within the genus.

On my other submission of what I think is the same species as this one, Eric stated a microscope was needed for ID. I was hoping a more close-in shot would suffice.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
