Hello Heiko, I think this is a dark male of Phaonia pallida which is not unusal. Amongst other characters P. rufiventris has only 1 pair of presutural acr while P. pallida has two. (see Review of the Phaonia pallida group, Nikita E. Vikhrev, Elena A. Erofeeva) Edited by eklans on 02-12-2023 19:46 Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |

Hello Eric, OK, but P. pallida. I had initially considered this species, but I found the dark grey-black coloring on the upper side of the thorax a bit irritating. But I'm not an expert either. Thank you very much for your help! Best regards, Heiko http://www.tiersi... |

Presently I'm a little bit far from the Palaearctic region. But I agree with Eric and I'm happy that publication of Elena and I is useful. Nikita Vikhrev attached the following image: [107.57Kb] Edited by Nikita Vikhrev on 03-12-2023 17:30 Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
