Hello,

Is a more precise definition possible here? Found on 8/13/23 in my garden in Germany, Northern Bavaria, 280 msm. Estimated size 12 - 14 mm.

Thanks and Regards,
Eugen

Hello Eugen, as far as I can see it's quite likely a male Thereva nobilitata.
Greetings, Eric Kloeckner
