16-JUN-2023 in the centre of Astana/Kazakhstan, around 14mm - looks like our Helophilus - could you please help out with a species nameß Thank you, Jörg

Looks very much like trivittatus, except for the facial stripe which seems black.

If it was central Europe, I could think of none other than trivittatus, but maybe there are other, similar species in Central Asia.
