Very blurry I know, but I had to photograph it at great distance over a fence. Maybe I'm enough lucky that the fly is distinctive and can be identified. It was small.
Guallyabamba, near Quito, Ecuador. Dry forest habitat.

Subfamily Asilinae, not sure of the genus.
