Hello everyone, I photographed this fly on October 10, 2023 in southwest Germany in a shady and damp spot in an old quarry. I think it's Palloptera ustulata, but I'm not sure if I can rule out Palloptera anderssoni in Germany. Is there evidence of Palloptera anderssoni in Germany? Hi Siggi, in Germany Palloptera anderssoni is as frequent as P. ustulata. Determination of your female might be possible from your pictures. I'll check this later. Regards Piet |

Hi Piet, thank you very much for your answer. It would be great, if you can determine die fly up to the species. Greetings Siggi |
