Diese ca. 12mm große Fliege sichtete ich an einem
Magerrasenhang in Horb a.N. am 11.08.2023. Könnte
es Suilia gigantea sein?

Viele Grüße
Bernd

It's the biggest Palaearctic species I know! Male of Suillia gigantea. The species is known from the South part of Germany and the South of Poland, and both the records were published this year in Zootaxa (DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5228.2.2 Wink.
