Hello everyone, I found this approximately 8 mm large fly on 07/29/23 in south-west Germany on a light forest path. I think it belongs to the genus Linnaemya. Is that correct and is there perhaps more to say? Thanks and regards, Siggi Siegfried Rudolf attached the following image: [213.19Kb] Edited by Siegfried Rudolf on 30-07-2023 09:44 |

Hello Siggi, I think it's a Winthemia and from what I see, it could be male Winthemia quadripustulata.

Hi Eric Thank you for your determination. That is very interesting. I didn't know this genus until now. Based on your answer, I add a "cf." Greetings Siggi |
