Hello! These Diptera had laid their eggs and died in several spots protected from rain. The larvae under the dead flies were alive. Does anyone know which species this is? Thank you in advance! Ralf Ralf attached the following image: [184.56Kb] |

A well known phenomenon. The fly is Atherix ibis. |
