Hello, I shot some videos underwater last sunday to illustrate life in a puddle. Here are some views catch from these videos. The quality is very bad but I begin with this lens totally manual. I think I was out of focus ...  Anyway, I see two kinds of larva : white one's on the bottom : are they dead ? red bloody one's, very active ! Could it be Ceratopogonidae, as described in this page ? I only see larvae of Ceratopogonidae. At least the ones with the dark brown head |

Hello, I'm back to get some advice. The first link above related to the article about Ceratopogonidae tells : These are most likely Dasyhelea genus Is it possible to assume this identification from those pictures including the video ? I don't recall that, in this place, occur biting midges, ... may be floricultural behaviors instead of blood drinking are more probable .. ?? Thanks in advance !
