Hi,

This fly took a rest on the wall of our house in the late afternoon.

I would expect hat to be an Anthomyia sp. (female?), maybe A. procellaris. Can that be confirmed or excluded from the attached image and/or is a narrower determination possible ?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), 27.06.2023, app. 8-10 mm

Greetings, Uli

Hi John,

wow, that was quick. Thank you for the identification, and from the images that I have seen on the web its more likely male than female?

Greetings & Thanks, Uli

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
