Hi all! Just to remove my last few doubts: Am I right with Hammerschmidtia ferruginea? I think you are right. Sometimes it is difficult to tell Hammerschmidtia from some Brachyopa species, but Hammerschmidtia should have a longer body, which your specimen has. There should be also some differences in venation of wings, but I am not able to see it when wings folded. |

I agree that the slender abdomen is very different from what you find in Brachyopa. Can't se any other option than Hammerschmidtia. |
