This fly was photographed in Greece by a friend and it would be nice to have a better ID than the one I can provide. Unfortunately I do not no more details about to location or the date.

Hello. This really looks like Tolmerus or Machimus, about the colour of legs and habit probably T. atripes or Machimus modestus. But, in Greece there was many species described, what just occurs there about data. We don’t know if they are “good” species or just a form of something. So, check the other Tolmerus and Machimus species what occurs in Greece, and about that you can maybe get the result.
