Hi All ! I pictured this specimen in my garden on 2023-05-23 in Belgium and could measure it on picture : 8,5mm. As I can see with all these setae on the tergites, it must be a Tachinidae ... Also it seems to be a female ? Can we ID this specimen ??? Thank you very much for your comments and / or ID. Note : if needed, I can add pictures for details ... Hello Didier, it's a difficult genus - but in this case I'm fairly sure, that it's a male Meigenia dorsalis. Anyhow it would be wise to edit the thread's title to attract the expert.
