Hello,

this beauty was flying around among the grasses in my garden two days ago. It was quite big, but I can't say the measurements, it took off. Can you say something about the species?
Germany, Saarland, Bexbach, Garden, Absolute Altitude 250 m, 14.05.2023

Greetings, Volker

Judging from the coloration of legs, Otites porca Latreille 1804.
It is not surprising because it occurs on the trans-Rhein Germany. I know it for instance from Karlsruhe.
Otherwise, it is common throughout France and Northern Italy.
