Hi all

This tiny 3 mm fly is a Mythicomyiidae fly from Portugal. It was found in 1994 by Hendrik [Henk] Harmannus Evenhuis (1919–2008) and Paul Beuk gave the specimens to Neal Evenhuis who described the species recently.
From Tróia - Setubal - Portugal in sand dunes on 14 April 2023.

And yes, they were family. Neal is Henk’s cousin, if I remember correctly.
