Found at the edge of mixed beech forrest. 10th April 2023
Konstanz Germany Lake Constance area Position 47.692528 N, 9.177509E
480 m above sea level.
Sorry, no dorsal photo available. I am total beginner. If possible and not too much work for you, I would appreciate a short comment on what I could have done better to make ID possible. Thank you in advance!

Hello, the photos are good for ID, of course a dorsal view and a dorsal view from behind would be very useful, too.
Here, I'm confident that it is a female Melinda viridicyanea (Melanomyinae):
- metallic blue
- calypters white
- palps black
- presutural intraalar bristle absent
- female's frons narrower than an eye (from above)
("Blow flies" by Olga Sivell, 2021)

We don't have Melinda in America. Our Melanomyinae are very dull flies, hard to recognize as Calliphoridae.
