Sciapodinae, yes, but the subfamily has more genera than just Sciapus. The very broad head does make me suspect that it is another genus.

there?s a french web with keys to subfamilies and genera; genera keys separated for males and females; i?m sorry i don?t remember where, but it?s in the menu of web links here, useful, with pictures of the important details. I?m not sure if their distribution will be good for you, good luck |

I think you mean this one for subfamilies, and this one for males and this one for females to genus, but it is for the Palaearctis only.
