Hello! This was found by Tamás Klózer in Hungary, 2022. 04. 17. I know that this is a Gonia species, but the characteristics are not so clear for me. First of all, the first point in the key what I use: “ Tergite 5 (viewed from behind) practically undusted, or just a pale dusty band” . Is this undusted, and then the species is Gonia divisa? Or is this dusted and, is this a compeletely different species? How can I distinguish divisa from the other species in the genus? Or what is the best key for the genus? Please help me! varganimrod attached the following image: [123.05Kb] |

Yes, this is divisa. I wouldn’t say “ practically undusted”, i would say “ with a very narrow band”. Check pics of other spe ies, you will see the difference. Also, the head is dark yellow, whereas it is whitish in most other species. Theo |

Thank you very much! I’ve seen some pictures about other species, and I understand now, they have a much wider and much more conspicuous line on tergite 5. |
