Hello, I recently became a member of this nice forum. I am a beginner in Dipterology. This is my first post. This fly (actually two, see next photo) were seen in my garden at Bennekom, Prov. of Gelderland, the Netherlands on August 1, 2022. I could only take two photos and failed to catch them because I didn’t want to damage the flowering (Canarian) Euphorbia plant. The wing venation seems to suggests a rhinophorid or a tachinid species. The pictures are not brilliant and the wings are damaged, but I hope an ID is still possible. Thanks in advance, Ton Tondew attached the following image: [248.95Kb] nouja.. |
