It seems to me that the posterior transverse vein is connected to the R cell at half its length? Or very close to half!

Hello Liliane, the snout is very short and yellowish - I think it's a Leopoldius cf. signatus, male.

Thanks a lot Eric, I had thought of Conops silaceus, a Mediterranean species that also seems to have a yellowish snout. But I have a hard time appreciating the length of the snout. Maybe this would be Leopoldius diadematus? I see that Leopoldius signatus has a black spot on the femurs 3 while here the femurs are entirely yellow. |

You are right: L. signatus has that black spot on femur 3. L. diatematus should have the "yellow stripe on frons as wide as the black one, front border of black stripe with two yellow incisions" (van Veen key), but I cannot see the frons good enough.

If it is indeed the yellow and the black bands on the head, I have this bad photo that allows you to see the width of the bands and the pattern of the yellow band.

Yes, that's the black band with the 2 yellow incisions!
