Oryctes : France : Villeneuve-d'Ascq : 59650 : 20/06/2022
Altitude : 20 m - Taille : 9 à 10 mm
Réf. : 307729

Hello,
I found this male of Culicidae on the edge of a little pool in Villeneuve d'Ascq (North of France) the 20th of june, this year. It was determined as genus Ochlerotatus. Are you agree whis that ? And it is just a suggestion but : could it be species sticticus as it was proposed on LMDI by seeing the colour of tarsus one and two ?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Dominique

The unpatterned scutum and thin light bands on the tarsomeres suggests Aedes vexans.
