This is a bit tricky! To discriminate between C. nemorum and Xylota abiens, we need to see the abdomen (segments wider than long in C. nemorum), but here it is hidden under the wings. Then, the shape of the hind femora is important. In C. nemorum they are expanded towards the apex but then narrowed at the outermost tip, whereas in X. abiens the hind femora are not expanded and their underside is rather evenly curved (see https://www.flick...8435796193). The left hind femur in the lowermost picture tends to show the C. nemorum type, that's why I lean towards this species. Regards, Sundew |
