 pupa from Tachinidae, Triarthria setipennis? from Romania

Hi, two days ago (8 January) i have found this pupa in remain of a mushroom (some Polyporaceae). i have keep that one, to see what will appear but untill then (if something appear) maybe some one know something. size 4-5 mm. cosmln [EDIT]: title changed cosmln attached the following image:  [83.44Kb] Edited by cosmln on 10-01-2008 21:20 |

Hi Jorge, thanks for that link. probably is the same, will be great to have the name also for the pupa. i will change the title maybe Theo will be attracted. this is the typical form of that species pupa, or more or less general for Tachinidae? again thanks, cosmln |

I have the same doubt. Not sure, I only saw just a few Tachinidae pupae. I think without rearing the pupa it will be very hard (if not impossible) to know the right species. |
