Would it be possible to identify this beautiful black and red Asilidae from Ifrane, Middle Atlas, Morocco?
Altitude 1600 meters.

An absolutely gorgeous Stenopogon! Matches the description of Stenopogon iphis Seguy, 1932:

"Tete et appendices noir, a soies noires; espace interoculaire avec une legere pruinosite doree; renflement facia avec deux taches latérales rousses. Thorax noir; disque du mesonotum rouge à bande médiane longitudinale noire; scutellum et mésophragme roux. Pleures luisants. Pattes I et II rousses; épines jaunes; fémurs II noircis à la base; hanches, trochanters et pattes III entièrement noirs; tarses III brun roux a l'apex. Ailes et balanciers brun sombre. Abdomen d'un noir luisant."
