The FAQ says:

"Attaching files to forum posts is restricted to the following types: gif - jpg - png - zip - rar - tar.
Please make sure that you use lower case, because attachments with extensions in upper case (capitals) are rejected. The maximum size is 200000 bytes."

Also, a maximum width of 600px is strongly recommended.

no. the maximum size for forum is 195 kB. No more. For submitting photos for gallery no more than 145 kB.

No difference : 200,000 bytes = 200,000 / 1024 = 195,31 kBytes ! Pfft

AH! bytes. You have reason. I overpass the name "bytes" and 3 zeros..

Really the correct would be 195,31 KiB (kibibyte) But nobody uses this.
