EDIT: Microphor sp. (Dolichopodidae). Many thanks to Paul Beuk for providing the ID.

I found this male hybotid basking on an ivy leaf in my partly wooded garden in West Sussex, UK on 21/04/2022. It was quite small, I'd guess around 3mm long. Using Mike Hackston's key to hybotid genera, I get to either Oedalea or Euthyneura, as the length and shape of the antennal segments is difficult to judge from this angle (I only managed to get this one photo before it flew off).

I've also had Trichina suggested as a possibility, though I don't think this is right because they are supposed to have wing stigmas that merge with vein R2+3 where that vein reaches the wing margin. The other thing that seems unique about this specimen is that the legs appear to be all dark, whereas most of the photos I can find online of Oedaleinae hybotids seem to have mostly yellow legs. Any help with the ID would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Dylan

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
