Please post Asilid threads in the Asilidae forum. This is a Dioctria, I leave the species to the experts. The prey is a a Braconid or Ichenumonid wasp.

My guess is Dioctria baumhaueri - front & mid femora seem too dark for hyalipennis |

That's possible - I am going by Drake & Stubbs and they make the distinction but do mention there needs to be some work to discover whether they are one or two species |
