I hope I'm not wrong in posting this fly here. I thought at first it was a Syrphidae, but it doesn't "feel" like one. I'm probably wrong though . Thanks, Sarah |

And this is the male ! (Stomorhina lunata, that is) Indeed often taken for a Syrphid Theo |

Aggghhhhh she cried! I was getting so confused as I had both this and the other one I posted labelled as Stomorhina. Then I thought about it and it started to worry me, they really are so different, so I thought I'd ask the question. NOW it's clear , Sarah |
