I'm fairly certain that these flies are sphaerocerids. They were approximately 3mm long. The pair were attracted to a hedgehog poo and the lone individual was attracted to a badger poo, both in my garden in West Sussex, UK last week. From looking at pictures online, I'm wondering whether they might be Lotophila atra, though I don't know whether there are other similar-looking species in the UK or not. Any help with the IDs would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Dylan
