Picture taken in mid July, east China (Zhejiang province). Can it be identified to genus? Many thanks in advance.

Judging by the well-developed spines on the middle tibia and femur, and the overall gestalt, this should be Hoplopheromerus. |

Awesome! Thank you very much, Chris, for the ID and the explanation! I just did a quick check. At least (probably more than) 2 species of Hoplopheromerus (H.armatipes and H.hirtiventris) have been recorded from Zhejiang. I think If I had taken a lateral shot of its abodmen, maybe it would have been much easier to get to species. Now, they both seem to look right but well, H.armatipes looks slightly more likely.
