December 2007. Esteras de Medinacelli, Guadalajara, Spain. Under lots of dead leaves of poplar trees in an humid and cold zone in winter. Larvae sizes about 3-3'5 cm. Can be tipulids???

They seem more like Bibionidae to me. Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
