Dear colleagues,

can you help me with the identification of this Sarcophaginae; the partly yellow/orange abdomen is quite striking yet I couldn't find a species that matches this characteristic.
Collected on a Polynesian atoll, so very likely an introduced species.

Thanks for any help and input
Best
Sebastian

Looking at a catalog (http://hbs.bishop...gidae.html) I find about 7 species known from Polynesia. Based on the species names and distributions I would start by comparing Oxysarcodexia taitensis and O. varia, but don't take that as a genus ID.

Dear John, thanks for your input. The species turned out to be Oxysarcodexia taitensis.
