Hello, yesterday I found this midge in a small box with a piece of rotten dead wood which I brought with larvae from a forest some weeks ago. Is it a Neolimonia dumetorum? Thanks Marion Germany, Saxony, 14. Oct. 2021 Marion Friedrich attached the following image: [153.73Kb] Edited by Marion Friedrich on 17-10-2021 11:56 |

Hi Marion, I've never seen that fly, but after checking with ccw.naturalis.nl I'm sure it is correct!

Hi Eric, thank you for confirmation. I used the same site. Today I wanted to take some better photos, but the midge escaped and vanished. Best regards, Marion |
