Hello, I photographed this fly near Pizzo Cefalone (AQ), Italy, 2300m a.s.l. on July 21st 2021. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos? Note the broad vertex, strong costal spine, only twp prae DC, excavation on syntergite 1&2 incomplete, weird wing venation etc.. I’d say a very nice Masistylum arcuatum, high Alpine endemic ! Theo Edited by Zeegers on 05-10-2021 06:57 |
