Hi,

Apologies for the mangled appearance, but can anyone confirm this? I'm confident of the determination but the recording scheme organiser Darwyn Sumner has suggested that I upload it here for an extra level of confirmation.

Full details are here:

Many thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,
Yes, this is indeed Pseudopomyza atrimana.
I'm curious, where (habitat) and how did you catch it?
Greetings,
Ectemnius

Thanks for the confirmation. I swept it from damp grassland in Betula pubescens & Populus tremula woodland. Didn't notice it in the field so not sure of the exact micro-habitat.
