Found near sea in maritime vegetation and sand dunes of Almeria, south Spain, the 1st August 2021. You can judge the size with the prey, a Gymnosoma (domestic-fly-sized.) Please help with ID? |

Indeed a Stenopogon sp. Probably belonging to the group of junceus/cervinus. Do you have a picture in which the wing venation is visible?

Only these two images. A friend already told me that is a Stenopogon gr. junceus, tough I would like to know which species form the junceus group. |

Thank you, well that excludes S. heteroneurus. The junceus group consists of S. cervinus/elongatus and junceus. I'm still not sure how to separate them properly.
