hello diptera-reader, Does anyone know what kind of fly this is? or familyname. What is that strange 'naked field' on it's side? Photo's where made by changing of sunnlight so some are danker and it's colour can differ. time: 30-10-2005 place: Amsterdam Woord-forest regards Robert Heemskerk |

To me it looks like Anthomyiidae (about 118 species in the Netherlands). What you see is a female, loaded with eggs! |
