Hi, this male of Chironominae was observed yesterday at home (north of Yonne department, France). Could it be a Cladopelma ? C. viridulum ?Thanks for a reply. ![]() Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 16/02/2026 Altitude : NR - Taille : 8 mesurés Réf. : 370747 ![]() Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 16/02/2026 Altitude : NR - Taille : 8 mesurés Réf. : 370748 |

The inner appendages look too large for a member of the Harnischia complex.

The genitalia does not match Cladopelma or the Harnischia Group. The inferior volsella are too large. This looks more like something that would be in the Chironomus Group, perhaps Chironomus?
