Second post (first : https://diptera.i...ost_473967 Found in a alkalin marsh (by Malaise trap - 04/07/2024). - notopleural lobes yellow/orange - first and second antennal segment orange - basal callus brown - orange on tergite 1-3 with an extension on tergite 4 - black hairs on tergite 2-3 - subgenital plate with basal notch With light notopleural lobes, bimaculata is exclude, distinguenda doesn't have black hairs on tergite 2-3 (and a different subgenital plate) and muehlfeldi have the two first antennal segment grey and not orange. Weird. Except for the first antennal segment, this is distinguenda all over. Are youx very sure you got the right foto for the antenna ? Theo |

No doubt this is the same specimen in all photos. We have too more orange on tergite for solstitialis ? Subgenital plate doesn't match for distinguenda no ? Edited by BLecaplain on 10-01-2025 22:33 |

Subgenital plate is shown slightly asymmetrical, so difficult to judge, but I guess you are right. Should be solstitialis. They tend to be more yellow to the south (= ciureai Seguy) Theo |

The convex base of the subgenital plate is not a good criteria for solstitialis ? The cerci are not enough visible to compare with distinguenda. |
