Good evening, I am new in this forum and as coleopterist, I am keen to learn more about the diptera as I do not know anything. Hope you can help and direct me to the right documentation to Id the beast. This one was caught by night in a night trap in my Garden in Belgium in July. There is Fauna Entomologica Scandinavica volume 40 by Chvala, and Part 3 of Collin's "British Flies" volume on Empididae, both of which deal with Hilara.
